Isaiah 55:12
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace: the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
Easter week this year was especially poignant. One of my sisters shared a breakthrough moment with us. After years of struggle and doubt, she sat in deep thought for a while. Through all her struggles she has sought the Lord. Time and again she has relied on His help and believed in His faithfulness.
To see the words she wrote in testimony about the things He showed her brought joy for her and amazement. She experienced a very deep realization that is life-changing for her. And she now understands it is not too late to make changes. Amen! Regardless of age, it's not too late! No doubt, that is a thought we can all relate to.
After thanking God yet again for her freedom from the past that had weighed her down, a beautiful thought hit me. This very personal, deep experience for her reflects the Easter story! Jesus overcame the horrific betrayal, beating, and humiliation by rising in victory. In quite a personal way, my sister has humbly shared a situation that reflects this Easter week well. On a spiritual level she has received a resurrection day in her heart that gave her new hope. The old way has died, and the new has risen. In remembering this week what Jesus did for us, have you had a personal breakthrough spiritually? Do you need one in some area? My heart has been impacted for the beautiful experience my sister got, at this specific time of year. How beautiful! How inspiring.
Please understand. This is not to compare any suffering we do to Jesus. Not to say we are in any way equal to His suffering, dying, or conquering death by resurrection. Simply consider nature. Scripture says the very rocks and trees will cry out His glory. Plants turn green, sprout, flower and produce.....they come alive after the dormant winter...just as He brought new life for us! So, in a similar way to nature shedding the old, dead part of the past winter, we can shed old, habitual thinking and grasp hold of new realization of His truths. We also can experience a form of resurrected thinking and understanding. We can be free to be what He always intended.
Luke 19:40
"I tell you," He replied, "if these people remain silent, the stones will cry out."
Thank you dear sister for showing His glory better than even the new growth of spring we are seeing all around us. Your praise of Him is inspiring. I want to be intentional to praise Him louder than the rocks and trees.
Be Inspired. Be Inspiring.
I absolutely love hearing about your sister's breakthrough.. it's an amazing testimony... 🙌🏻
